April Review- May Goals
April Review: good progress was made to better understand what happens with the tickers that set-up but do not Breakout. No spoilers for now sorry, video expected mid-May. I am sure you will learn at least one interesting thing from it, stay tunned.
May Goals:
- Finalize the deep dive on setups that failed to breakout and present the results. / Mid-May
- Start the next deep dive: Breakouts Qullamaggie Style in Biotech - biotech was isolated from the initial deep dive due to some reputation elements of this industry. Next, I will do a separate analysis to decide if I should continue to avoid biotech when it comes to Breakouts.
Almost there with the theoretical part… If I will fail in trading, it should not be because I did not put the work into studying.
Trading suggestion of the month: Expensive Resources Not in Use
When I went as a full-time trader, one of my beliefs was that I have to get access to good quality resources as they would increase my chances of success. As a result, I purchased a full-year subscription to Briefing.com (not sure how much I paid, but now its $2400/year) and TradeIdeas Standard subscription (now $1000/year).
Later in the process, I understood that I will not be able to progress without very deep knowledge and skills of the setups, as a result, I stopped trading, defined my setups: EPs and Breakouts, and focused on doing deep dives.
Doing deep dives and publishing them is time-consuming; as a result, I ended up not using Briefieng.com and neither TradeIdeas very intensively in the last months.
Here is a suggestion: do not buy Briefing.com or TradeIdeas in the first year of studying to trade. Dedicate the year to study a setup using historical charts. For historical charts, good resources are TC2000 and Tradingview. It’s a matter of preference, but I will advise you go for TC2000.
Not sure I will renew my subscription for briefing.com as the combination Seekingalpha.com + WSJ.com + Bloomber.com is providing the information I need. TradeIdeas will be intensively used a bit later but not needed in the first year.
Wish you a great month ahead!
